Australian beauty Belinda Green became the second woman from her country to win the Miss World title. The first one was Penelope Plummer, who was crowned Miss World in 1968. Belinda was 20 when she won the title. In the same year of her victory, Australia won the Miss Universe crown, the Miss Asia Pacific title, and placed first runner-up in the Miss International. She was a model and began her career in Media, Marketing and Public Relations. Belinda also had a successful Television career as a TV Presenter. Currently, she is involved in rescuing and taking care of injured and orphaned wildlife.
