Elizabeth Molapo, Miss South Africa 2016 contestant is a BCom Economics final year student at the University of the Free State. She is also a model, MC and Public Speaker. The Miss South Africa pageant is an opportunity for Elizabeth that she has long been waiting for. “Miss South Africa is my current focus and I want to give my full attention to it. It’s an opportunity I have looked forward to for a long time. My passion lies with women’s development, empowerment and independence. I want to make an impact and leave a legacy as Miss South Africa 2016. The woman I am today was shaped by the community I grew up in and it is my passion to be a mentor and a role model to women like those in my community”, said Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is deeply inspired by the former Miss South Africa, Peggy-Sue Khumalo. She believes that Peggy is not just a beautiful woman, but also a successful career oriented woman. Elizabeth loves spending time with her family, and considers her mom as her biggest inspiration in life. “I have seen my mother go through tough seasons and come out of them a stronger woman every time. I also admire Khanyi Dhlomo as she has been successful not only as a businesswoman but a brand. I admire her drive and her hunger to be successful.”

“I absolutely adore my family. My father, mother and younger brother mean the world to me”, says Elizabeth, when asked about her family. Elizabeth likes to spend her spare time with children, she takes young girls for different activity classes and like spending time with them.

At last, Elizabeth concludes by saying, “I’m looking forward to the adventures tomorrow holds.”
