Sonal Kukreja was crowned Miss Diva Supranational 2023 at the finale of Miss Diva 2023 held last night at The LaLiT, Mumbai, India as she became the official representative of India at Miss Supranational 2024. Sonal succeeds and was crowned by Miss Diva Supranational 2022 Pragnya Ayyagari.
Sonal Kukreja is 23 years of age and this was her second stint at Miss Diva as she was adjudged first runner-up at Miss Diva 2021. Sonal studied at Pennsylvania State University, State College and is the Co-Founder and Vice President Marketing and Partnerships at Unicas. With her reign, Sonal wishes to enable women's financial autonomy, a mission that resides deep within her heart. "I'm not one to yield; I carve my own reality. With an unyielding desire to impact the world, I aspire to ignite inspiration that echoes through generations. I aim to be a beacon of possibility, illuminating paths to self-crafted lives”, she spoke.
For Sonal, pageantry is not about showcasing just beauty; She understands that to be on a global stage to represent a country like India, it takes guts. It always takes guts to glory, and she believes that she has to work hard on herself, not just on beauty but to become resilient, mentally strong and emotionally ready. "I think it's the whole journey, and that's when you know that when you look at a beauty queen, you feel inspired because you see how much they've worked on themselves to stand where they are today", she quoted.
Her advocacy seeks to imbue women confidently, encouraging them to carve their paths and dictate life on their own terms. Her legacy echoes the clarion call that knowledge, determination, and solidarity can reshape narratives, fostering a world where every woman thrives. Sonal has also collaborated with organizations like SEWA and Navjyoti Foundation which aims to catalyze change from grassroots to global platforms. She hopes to organize workshops, mentorship, and advocacy campaigns feature to nurture a generation of financially empowered women.
Miss Supranational 2024 will be the 15th edition of Miss Supranational to be held in Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland where Miss Supranational 2023 Andrea Aguilera of Ecuador will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
