The titleholder of the Miss Earth 2016 beauty queen is in the Philippines, fulfilling her duties as the crown holder of the pageant. The beauty, apart from making sure that the environment is clean and the natural surroundings are pollution free, is taking out time to visit the children who cannot hear or speak, in order to spend some fun time with them and make beautiful memories on them.
Katherine visited the kids at the Isabela School for Deaf and Mute and inspired them with her good work. The beauty had a great time enjoying and indulging in interesting activities along with the cute children of the school and also offered them treats. Later on, she visited the Isabela hospital where she met the staff of the hospital and had a talk with them.

Katherine have been making efforts in order to make sure that she can inspire the youth in the world to me a greener and cleaner Earth. She has been doing her work with efficiency from the day she has been crowned as the Miss Earth 2016.
Katherine Espin from Ecuador, who participated at the coronation ceremony of Miss Earth 2016 beauty pageant, which was the 16th edition of the Miss Earth contest, was declared the winner on 29th October’ 2016. She was crowned by Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong of Philippines at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
