Andrea Ojeda Fernández has replaced Véronique Michielsen as Miss Grand Ecuador 2023 and will represent Ecuador at Miss Grand International 2023. The news came in after CNB Ecuador announced the dethronement of Michielsen as the official titleholder.
CNB Ecuador organization, through their official social media, wrote, “The National Beauty Contest confirms through the following statement that, at 07:00 (Ecuador) on Sunday, September 3, Ms. Veronique Michielsen, through a telephone call, informed the CNB National Director that she is pregnant; that was notified to the International Organization MGI.”
“Miss Andrea Ojeda Fernández, First Finalist MGE 2023, is the one who will assume all responsibilities in accordance with the representation of the country as Miss Grand Ecuador in the next edition of the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant to be held in Vietnam”, they wrote.
Miss Grand International 2023, the 11th edition of the Miss Grand International, will be held on 25th October 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where Miss Grand International 2022 Isabella Menin of Brazil will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
