Tea Babic was announced as the winner of the Miss Montenegro 2016 national Miss Montenegro 2016 that was held recently in the country to select representatives for two of the Big 4 beauty pageants in the world, Miss World and Miss Universe.
The grand finale of the Miss Montenegro 2016 concluded with the crowning of Tea Babic as the winner. Tea Babic is 19 years of age and hails from Podgorica. Babic succeeds Natasa Milosavljevic, the Miss Montenegro 2015. She will represent the country at the Miss World 2017 pageant. The national pageant of Montenegro has been sending country’s delegates at the Miss World beauty contest since the year 2006.

Usually, the winner represents at the Miss World pageant of the same year, but this year, the organisers decided to send the last year’s first runner up as delegate from Montenegro at the Miss World 2016 pageant, while Tea Babic will act as the Miss World Montenegro 2017 and will go on to contend at the pageant, to win the coveted title and the gorgeous crown.
Originally, Katarina Kekovic, last year’s first runner up was expected to represent Montenegro at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant, but since the new rule of Miss Universe implies that a country must not have more than one representative of Miss Universe at a time, the runner up of this year, Adela Zoranic, will be contesting at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.
