Amidst all the preparations and pre pageant activities, the Miss Universe pageant is facing some sort of an issue from the recent few days. Apparently, the Miss Universe 2016 contestants are falling ill. One fainted, the other was ushered before passing out. Yes, we are talking about the delegates of Miss Universe 2016.
According to sources, Miss Universe Curacao Chanelle de Lau fainted on stage during a photo session with the sponsors. In another event, Miss Universe Angola Lusia Baptista was seen fanning herself with her hands. When the other contestants saw her, the signalled for help to the security personnel and she was ushered out before she passed out.
If reports are to be believed, the reason might be lack of sleep, as the delegates arrived back at the Conrad Hotel past midnight after sailing from Pico de Loro in Batangas for an ancillary event. In another incident, Miss Universe Italt Sophie Sergio almost fainted during the Governor's Ball. Miss Universe British Virgin Islands Ericka Creque was ushered out in a wheel chair during a dinner event in Cebu.
Miss Universe Ncaragua Marina Jacoby was also reported suffering from sore throat due to jetlag. Previously, Miss Universe Poland Izabella Krzan was also reported skipping events in Baguio and Davao as she was not well, as informed by the organizers. Officials from the Miss Universe Organization have not yet issued any statement about the issue.
