The 65th edition of the Miss Universe pageant is here and with every passing day, the contest is only going great. The finale is slated to be held on 30th January 2017 and at the conclusion of the coronation night, reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach will pass on her crown to her successor. While the contestants are busy with their preliminary activities and visits, there are these pre pageant activities that are highly awaited.

The pre pageant activities of Miss Universe pageant include the Swimsuit and the Evening Gown competitions. These two are the most awaited events of the Miss Universe, and are the ones that every one waits for. But, how would you feel if we tell you that this year the pre pageant activities are not going to be open for fans. Unlike last year, the pre pageant event will be closed for the public this year. In fact, only invited guests, candidates' families, sponsors, will be permitted to enter the venue this year.

TV5 will air the entire event for the viewers to catch all the actions of the delegates during the event. The pre pageant activity will be held on 26th January 2017 and a delayed telecast of swimsuit competition will air on 28th January at 9:30pm and the long gown competition will air on 29th January at 8:45pm. The pre-pageant activities will give an insight to who all have better chances of placing at the finals.

The finale of Miss Universe 2016 is slated to be held on 30th January 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Around 28 contestants of Miss Universe 2016 recently participated at the Mindanao Tapestry Show held in Davao City. The event was about empowering women and the collection featured proud Mindanao tribeswomen whose weaving tradition dates back hundreds of years ago. The show was headed by fashion designer Renee Salud, who headed the show and expressed his gratitude for the show’s success.
