A 22 year old graduate of the United Christian Academy in Greene County, Jacqueline Carroll was crowned Miss Virginia USA 2017 in an event hosted in November 2016 at the Virginia Tech. On winning the title the first thing that Jacqueline said was “I really like being able to have a close relationship with the girls I’ve competed with. It’s a bond you have with these women,” she said. “You relate to something on more than just a friend level. It’s awesome. It’s really special. I guess everybody hopes to win; it’s just not real until it really happens.”
Jacqueline Carroll is a graduate student at George Washington University where she is studying Forensic Psychology. Known as Jax on the court, she was a four-year collegiate volleyball player at West Virginia Tech where she captained the team for three seasons and lettered all four years. She was also given the prestigious honor of the Presidential Leadership Award for the college of business and humanities. She graduated Sum Cum Laude with her B.A. in Psychology and an emphasis in Biology.

Jacqueline works as a domestic violence and sexual assault hotline volunteer in her region of Fairfax County. She is a counselor at a residential treatment facility for eating disorders.
Jacqueline will continue her work with the Grace Oughton Cancer Foundation and is elated to add new charities this year to her list of appearances. She will have the honor of working with Best Buddies, Special Olympics and the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance this year as she works to spread her platform across the state of Virginia. This year she will be kicking off a school tour in the state of Virginia to promote a confident lifestyle and safety awareness.
Jacqueline constantly strives to learn new things and enhance her personality in a wholesome way. Her constant efforts towards the social awareness in the society set her apart from the general crowd. In a nutshell we can see Jacqueline possessing all the qualities that we would like to see in the winner of Miss USA 2017.
