The much anticipated National Costume Competition of Miss Universe Thailand 2016 was held on July 12’ 2016. The contest was an interesting event, and at the same time was also a nerve wracking moment for the delegates.

Miss Universe Thailand 2016 National Costume Competition 

The Creative Thai Costume of the Thai beauties were inspired by Thai culture and was a result of the pure imagination of the contestants. From garnering inspiration from the popular kingdoms to digging into the history and culture of Thailand, the contestants explored various fields and brought out interesting layer of creativity. Some contestants were also seen donning costumes inspired by nature.

The contestants will be marked on the basis of their presentation in the National Costume competition, and accordingly one out of all the contestants will be selected as the Best in National Costume.

The reigning Miss Universe Thailand 2015 is Aniporn Chalermburanawong, who was crowned on July 18, 2015 in Bangkok. Anipron represented Thailand at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant and made it to the Top 10 finalists, making Thailand's first placement in eight years, and first Top 10 in 27 years.
