Miss America 2017 pageant is about to reach its finals destination and on 11th September USA will rejoice in the celebration of its new Miss America. But, before the gala night the Miss America contest conducted a series of Preliminary Competitions. The Prelims were conducted in three segments on three different nights in Boardwalk Hall, and the winners for each segment have also been announced. So, let’s take a look at the Preliminary Competition winners of Miss America 2017.
During the first of the three Preliminary nights Miss Tennessee, Grace Burgess was awarded the winner of the Talent round for her vocal performance of “Desperado.” Grace will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Miss District of Columbia, Cierra Jackson was also the centre of attraction as the beauty won the Lifestyle and Fitness Award donning a pink Irene West swimsuit. Cierra will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
During the second of the three preliminary nights Miss Arkansas, Savvy Shields won the Talent Award for her jazz dance performance to the song “Just Keep Moving the Line” from the former TV show “Smash.” Savvy will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Also capturing the spotlight was Miss Maryland, Hannah Brewer, who was the preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winner in a black Irene West swimsuit. Hannah will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
The third and the final night saw Miss Michigan, Arianna Quan winning the Talent Round for her piano performance of “L’Ouette” by Glinka Balakirev. Arianna will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Miss Ohio, Alice Magoto was the Lifestyle and Fitness winner in a black Irene West swimsuit. Alice will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
At the conclusion of the Miss America 2017 pageant, Betty Cantrell from Georgia will pass on her crown to her successor. Are you excited for the magnificent finale of Miss America 2017?
