Miss Universe Barbados organization held the 2017 edition on 16th September 2017 at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Bridgetown, Barbados. At the end of the event finale, Lesley Chapman-Andrews was crowned the new queen by her predecessor Shannon Harris Miss Universe Barbados 2016.

At the end of the event finale, Jamilah Forde was adjudged as the first runner-up, while Shanice Mason finished as the second runner-up. Top 5 also included Shahida Lynch and Chè Greenidge. Miss Photogenic award was given to Te-keila Rochester, while the People's Choice was Mutamuliza Cutting.

The contestants who competed at Miss Universe Barbados 2017 were Shahaida Lynch, Jamilah Forde, Shanice Mason, Lesley Chapman-Andrews, Alicia Trotman, Mutamuliza Cutting, Chakra Callender, Shadaé Watson, Te-keila Rochester and Che Greenidge.

Miss Barbados Universe sent its first contender to Miss Universe in 1976 and has sent 11 delegates between 1976 and 2005. They have never sent a representative for more than 5 years in a row. Barbados is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Universe.
