Miss Croatia World 2016 (also known as Miss Hrvatske 2016 or Miss Croatia 2016) was held on June 17’ 2016 at Crikvenica, Hotel Omorika. Angelica Zacchigna was crowned as the winner by the outgoing queen Maja Spahija. Angelica Zacchigna will now represent Croatia at the Miss World 2016 pageant slated to be held in Washington DC, USA later this year.
The pageant has been held since 1992 and the winner selected is not on the basis of good looks, but how active the contestant is in charitable activities.
A total number of 15 contestants were shortlisted from all over Croatia to compete for the crown of Miss World Croatia 2016. The 15 finalists of Miss Croatia World 2016 were –

The contestants went through a series of Preliminary Competitions which included - sports, talent, interview, multimedia and modelling. The coronation night which took place on June 17’ 2016 at Crikvenica, Hotel Omorika was a gripping affair as the contestants sashayed the ramp in their respective national costumes, evening gowns and swimsuits. The juries closely monitored their walk, posture and personality before proclaiming the results.
The outgoing Miss Croatia Maja Spahija who was crowned Miss Croatia on the finale held on June 12’ 2015 at Diocletian Palace, Split, Croatia, crowned Angelica as her successor.
