The magnificent finale of Miss Universe Croatia 2017 came to a conclusion when 19 year old gorgeous beautyShanaelle Petty from Slavonski Brod was crowned as the winner. Shanaelle succeeds Miss Universe Croatia 2016 Barbara Filipovic, and will now represent the country at Miss Universe 2017 pageant to be held later this year. The pageant has been held annually since 1997. At the same pageant, 19 year old Elena Jung from Vodnjan was adjudged the first runner-up, and 21 year oldMarijana Josipovic from Osijek was titled as second runner-up. Marijana was also awarded the Miss Photogenic Award.

Miss Universe Croatia (also known as Miss Universe Hrvatske) is an annual national beauty pageant that selects representatives for the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Croatia pageant has been held annually since 1997. Croatia has not won any Miss Universe title till date. However, in 2009 (Sarah Cosic Miss Universe Croatia 2009) and 2012 (Elizabeta Burg Miss Universe Croatia 2012) Croatia managed to reach the Top 15 and Top 16 of Miss Universe 2009 and Miss Universe 2012 simultaneously.
