Miss Egypt 2014 final coronation is scheduled for September 23' 2014 with twenty (20) finalists competing for the titles of Miss Egypt Universe 2014 and Miss Egypt World 2014. Miss Egypt 2014 open auditions were held on August 27' 2014 at Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah Hotel, and after initial screening 35 contestants were selected. After final screening, presentation and interviews, the top 20 finalists were selected.

Miss Egypt returns after a gap of four years, as no national pageant was held in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 amid political turmoil in Egypt. The last national pageant held was Miss Egypt 2010 on July 7' 2010 when Donia Hamed was crowned Miss Egypt Universe 2010, and Sara EL-Khouly was crowned Miss Egypt World 2010. The first runner-up was Mira Khalil and the second runner-up was Asmaa Abdelmawgou.

Though no pageant was held in 2011, Sara El-Khouly was chosen as Miss Egypt Universe 2011, and she represented Egypt at Miss Universe 2011. Donia Hamed was chosen as Miss Egypt World 2011 and she represented Egypt at Miss World 2011. Since then there has been no representative from Egypt at any of the Big 4 international pageants.
