At the conclusion of the splendid finale of Miss Universe Laos 2017 held at Lao National Convention Center at Vientiane on 26th August 2017, Souphaphone Somvichith was crowned as Miss Universe Laos 2017 and will represent Laos in the Miss Universe 2017. This was the very first edition of the national pageant.

Souphaphone is a student of business administration. Not new to the pageantey, she was the first runner up in the Miss Vientiane 2016 pageant as well. The gorgeous beauty stands 178 cm tall. The newly crowned queen’s court included –

First Runner-Up – On-anong Homsombath

Second Runner-Up – Varissara May Tangsouvanh

Third Runner-Up – Souksavanh Luanglath

Fourth Runner-Up – Malisa Sidachanh

Varissara Tangsouvanh and Souksavanh Luanglath won the special awards of Miss Photogenic and Miss Friendship respectively. The winner Souphaphone was also awarded the Best Personality and Miss Elegance awards.
