Miss Mundo Nicaragua 2016 (also known as Miss World Nicaragua 2016) was held on October 25’ 2015. The magnificent gala ceremony of Miss World Nicaragua 2016 was concluded with the crowning of Masaya’sMaria Laura Ramirez. The event took place at the Casa Maderas Ecolodge, Nicaragua. The beauty was crowned by last year’s winner, Stefania Aleman.

There were a total of 15 contestants who competed for the pageant this year. The 15 contestants were - Chelsea Castillo, Diana Hernandez, Gabriela Alvarado, Jennifer Caceres, Jennyfer Perez, Krishna Rocha, Maria Alejandra Alfaro, Maria Gabriela Salgado, Maria Laura Ramirez Castillo, Marcela Melendez Parajon, Marian Borge Amador, Oriana Julissa Sanchez, Priscilla de los Angeles Silva, Silvia Elena Blandon Castro and Vielka Salazar.

The Miss Mundo Nicaragua organisation is led by Denis Martin Davila and the pageant supports in bringing up the new talents. Nicaragua has had a sluggish record at the Miss World pageant. The outgoing Miss Mundo Nicaragua was Stefania Alemán. Stefania represented Nicaragua at the Miss World 2015 pageant. At the finale of Miss Mundo Nicaragua 2016, Stefania Alemán crowned Maria Laura Ramirez as her successor.
