Miss South Africa 2018 : Info

Miss South Africa 2018, the 60th edition of the national pageant, was held on 27 May 2018 at the Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria. For the first time, two separate delegates were selected to represent South Africa at Miss World and Miss Universe, but only one was crowned Miss South Africa. At the end of the event finale, Tamaryn Green representing Western Cape was crowned Miss South Africa 2018/Miss Universe South Africa 2018. The runner-up position was awarded to Thulisa Keyi who also won the title of Miss World South Africa 2018.

Apart from the winner and the runner-up, the Top 5 included Thandokazi Mfundisi, Karishma Ramdev and Noxolo Ndebele. The Top 10 also included Margo Fargo, Anzelle van Staden, Bryoni Govender, Daniellë de Jager, Tamarin Bensch, Tharina Botes and Akile Khoza.

The accomplished panel of jury who accomplished the task of crowning a new queen included Anele Mdoda – radio jockey, Khaya Dlanga – marketing personality, Khanyi Dhlomo – businesswoman and media mogul, Janez Vermeiren – entrepreneur and television presenter, Michelle van Breda – magazine editor, Siba Mtongana – celebrity chef and television personality and Rolene Strauss – Miss South Africa 2014 and Miss World 2014.

The contestants who competed for Miss South Africa 2018 were Noxolo Ndebele, Avania Reddy, Karishma Ramdev, Leah Prinsloo, Tegan Goldman, Thandokazi Mfundisi, Daniellë de Jager, Tamaryn Green, Lethukwenama Zesuliwe Letsoala, Thokozile Mbatha, Tamarin Bensch, Altina Vries, Eureka Khambako, Akile Khoza, Anzelle van Staden, Bryoni Govender, Chanté Holloway, Chanté Jantjies, Danielle Wallace, Lisa Stoffela, Margo Fargo, Michelle Howell, Rito Madingana, Tshegofatso Moloto, Taryn Bornman, Tharina Botes, Thulisa Keyi, Rethabile Lethoko.
