As realization hit at dawn, Tamaryn Green woke up to the feeling of being crowned Miss South Africa 2018 which was in fact a reality and not just her dream anymore. The 23-year-old medical student from Paarl who was crowned the winner at the 60th edition felt an out of the body experience at the finale.

A Medical Student in training to become a doctor
Tamaryn is currently a medical student donning scrubs at her university. She might have to keep those on hold for a year or so after her outstanding win at the pageant now. Although she has taken it in an optimistic way as she thinks that she can help the South African women understand their strengths through her knowledge.
Let us not forget that many of the internationally crowned beauty queens belong to the medical field, one of them being our Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar.
Not new to the Pageant World
Tamaryn is not new to the world of pageantry as this was her eighth pageant so far. Her biggest feats include being crowned Miss New Orleans and Miss Rochester. With her experience in the pageant world and definite wins as well, this South African beauty will be a strong competition for the others.

Following in the footsteps of Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Tamaryn is also from Western Cape- specifically Paarl. Visiting various schools to inspire the youth, she promoted and advocated hard work and determination and on finale everyone watched as she made her dream come true!
A model and actress
Aside from being a medical student, Tamaryn is also strutting her stuff on the catwalk. When she is not busy seeing patients, Tamaryn enjoys modeling and walking the runways. She also recently bagged her first international modeling gig!

Before being crowned Miss South Africa 2018, Tamaryn was already sharing her thoughts on what is expected from a beauty queen. Kindness, Compassion, Humility and Staying true to oneself are the traits she holds close to her heart right from the start. And surely it helped her bag another huge accomplishment in her career.
