Formed in 1993, Miss Slovakia or Miss Slovensko or Miss World Slovakia is one of the most prestigious beauty pageants of Slovakia. Miss Slovensko was established in 1993 after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. From the year 1993 to 1997, the winner of Miss Slovensko went to Miss Universe and the runner-ups went to Miss World and Miss International. In the year 1996, Oklamcák Production took over the Miss Slovensko franchise. Currently the Oklamcák Production agency and TV JOJ along with the Forza Production House organize the most prestigious beauty pageant in the Slovakia, Miss Slovensko and holds the franchise of Miss World and Miss International.

The Miss Slovensko beauty pageant begins with a media campaign to announce the annual contest process every year. The application forms are published in selected print media for several weeks. Potential contestants are selected, who meet the criteria of the beauty pageant. These girls are divided into regional casting sections.  The selected contestants then go through a complex preparation process, which includes two week long training sessions. These sessions primarily focus on choreography and voice training sessions for the finalists.

Apart from getting the opportunity to represent Slovakia at the international platform, these finalists get to experience working with renowned and go through their costume and accessory fittings, rehearsals of choreography for the final evening and work with a speech and diction coach. Each year, the winners are rewarded contracts with an agency, automobiles and exotic vacations.

Slovakia is yet to pioneer its win in Miss World pageant. The highest placement Slovakia has had in Miss World is Top 20 in Miss World 2013 where Karolína Chomisteková represented Slovakia and again Top 20 in Miss World 2016 where Kristína Cincurová was the representative.

2019

Miss Slovensko 2019 aka Miss Slovakia 2019 was held on 27th April 2019 in Bratislava, Slovakia where Frederika Kurtulíková was crowned the new queen and became the official representative of Slovakia in Miss World 2019. Natália Hrušovská became the official representative of Slovakia in Miss Supranational 2019 while Alica Ondrášová became the official representative in Miss International 2019.

2018

Miss Slovakia 2018 aka Miss Slovensko 2018 finale was held on 30th April 2018 where Dominika Grecová was crowned the new queen by Miss Slovensko 2017 Hanka Závodná. The first runner-up of Miss Slovensko 2018 Radka Grendová was crowned Miss International Slovakia 2018.

2017

The 22nd edition of the Miss Slovensko aka Miss Slovakia 2017 was held on 29th April 2017 where Hanka Závodná was crowned the new queen by her predecessor Miss Slovensko 2016 Kristína Cincurová. She represented Slovakia in Miss World 2017. Petra Varaliova, first runner-up, represented Slovakia at Miss International 2017. Michaela Cmarkova, second runner-up, competed in Miss Supranational 2017.

2016

Miss Slovakia 2016 aka Miss Slovensko 2016 was the 21st edition of Miss Slovakia pageant. The finale of Miss Slovensko 2016 was held on 29th April 2016. At the culmination of the grand coronation night, Kristína Cincurová was crowned Miss World Slovakia 2016. Michaela Menkyová was crowned Miss International Slovakia 2016 and Lenka Tekeljaková was crowned Miss Supranational Slovakia 2016.

2015

Miss Slovakia 2015 aka Miss Slovensko 2015 was the 20th edition of Miss Slovakia pageant. The finals were held on 24th April 2015 where Lujza Straková from Banská Bystrica was crowned the winner. Petra Denkova was crowned Miss Supranational Slovakia 2015 while Barbora Bakošová was crowned Miss International Slovakia 2015.
