Samantha Batallanos Cortagena was appointed as new Miss Grand Perú 2021 on 12th June 2021 and will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2021. She is a journalism student who comes from an orthodox Peruvian family where her parents had to work hard to educate her and her sisters and that made her a dreamer.
Samantha is not new to the pageantry as the 25-year-old stunning beauty participated in Miss Peru 2019 and at the end of the event finale, Samantha was crowned Miss Peru Grand 2020 and became the official representative of Peru at Miss Grand International 2020. However, she was later replaced by Maricielo Gamarra who instead represented Peru at the 2020 edition.
Prior to her winning Miss Peru Grand 2020, Samantha became the official representative of Peru at Miss Landscapes International 2018 where she placed as the second runner-up. With her experience in the pageantry, Samantha will definitely be a strong competition for the other ladies at the 2021 edition of Miss Grand International.
