Edita Marenic from Zabok has been selected as the finalist for Miss Universe Croatia 2018, and this might not be the most pleasant news for other finalists that have made it so far. Edita comes from a background of pageants and has placed as the first runner-up in two nationwide pageants in Croatia. She was the 1st runner-up Miss of Sport 2015 and also the 1st runner-up of Miss Tourism 2017.
This add to the girl’s chances at the crown, as previous experience would help her navigate through the difficult but giving journey of Miss Universe Croatia 2018, much easier than the other girls. The journey of Miss Croatia proves to be super rewarding for the winner, and thus the stakes are considerably high.
The finals of the election and the crowning of the winner will be held on April 21 in HRT Studio Anton Marti with direct transfer to Croatian TV. With a prestigious title, the winner will also receive valuable awards. In addition to the Zlatarne Dodic Crown, she will gain the right and privilege to represent Croatia at the world's most prestigious beauty pageant, Miss Universe 2018, where Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will crown her successor. The winner is also expected to receive a lot of prizes, one of which is one of the biggest scholarships of up to 20,000 euros from the Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZŠEM) for a four year undergraduate or MBA.
When a girl first enters the world of pageantry, she is starstruck by the poise and sophistication the world offers. The next thing she is introduced to is the hectic work schedule of a pageant girl. Then comes the work towards their advocacies. These things could prove to be rather tedious and overwhelming for a newcomer, and could easily spoil her chance of walking away with the crown.
