Miss World organization, through their official social media, announced the Top 10 finalists for the Beauty with a Purpose at the gala dinner held on 3rd March 2024 in Mumbai, India. One of these delegates will win the Best BWAP project at the finale. Let’s take a look at all the Top 10 finalists projects for the 71st Miss World.
Hana Karema of Uganda won a spot in the Top 10 BWAP finalists with her outstanding work she has done for the children of her home village in Uganda by building them a secondary school so they don’t have to walk barefoot for long distances to get education.
With her life story, Hana left no stone unturned to bring the change which would reflect upon generations to come. With child marriages being very common in the area, Hana made it her mission to educate the girls so they don’t fall in the trap and ofcourse work on eradicating the practice altogether. She has also launched career talks in school, organized workshops where they educate the children on the importance of education to have a good life.
The workshops also focus on menstrual hygiene and health, self-esteem, confidence so that the children feel more determined to pursue a brighter future. Hana’s role model has been her father who has worked tirelessly to give his daughters a bright future. She follows in his footsteps to become a better leader and set an example for children all across her country.
The 71st Miss World will be crowned on 9th March 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India where Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The event will be live-streamed by Sonyliv India, starting at 7:30 PM local time.
