Miss World organization, through their official social media, announced the Top 10 finalists for the Beauty with a Purpose at the gala dinner held on 3rd March 2024 in Mumbai, India. One of these delegates will win the Best BWAP project at the finale. Let’s take a look at all the Top 10 finalists projects for the 71st Miss World.

Halima Kopwe of Tanzania made it as one of the Top 10 finalists for Beauty with a Purpose Challenge with ‘My Blood My Generation’ project. “It’s such an incredible achievement and a testament to our hard work and dedication. Words can’t express my gratitude to everyone who has been part and parcel towards making this project a success”, she quoted on her achievement.

Halima’s project aimed at improving the health of pregnant women and children in Tanzania and reducing maternal and child mortality rates. The project focused on the main issue of maternal mortality caused by postpartum hemorrhage and anaemia in infants. The project involved raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and organizing donation events in partnership with the national blood donation center and other stakeholders.

Halima’s project also aimed at raising funds to provide hospitals with medical equipment and supplies for safe delivery, as well as to offer health insurance to children in need. “The project has partnered with Licks Pharmacy to provide medicine that increases blood volume for pregnant women in rural areas. I have also partnered with CCBRT hospital to reach women with high risk pregnancies and ensure that they have safe deliveries and give birth to healty babies”, Halima wrote as she spoke about the project.

The 71st Miss World will be crowned on 9th March 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India where Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The event will be live-streamed by Sonyliv India, starting at 7:30 PM local time.
