Meet Miss 52! Alexandra Miller, who is a pageant veteran as she was a two-time first runner-up at Miss Oklahoma, has chosen by fans via social media to compete for Miss USA 2016 crown. The beauty queen never thought she would make it to the coveted Miss USA stage.
"I was [current Miss USA] Olivia Jordan's first runner-up when she won the title of Miss Oklahoma USA 2015, and she actually won Miss USA on my 26th birthday, which meant I had to decide if I wanted to compete my last year or take over her title," Miller tells sources.
For Alexandra Miller, the announcement of being the 52nd contestant of Miss USA 2016 was tremendously special. She got a call from none other than Miss Universe 2014, Paulina Vega, who confirmed her participation as the Miss USA 52 at the Miss USA 2016 pageant. The pageant veteran was overwhelmed after hearing the news.

However, thanks to all the voting by fans for a Miss 52nd contestant, the pageant pro will be able to compete. Miller was chosen from 10 ladies after competing in a nationwide search for Miss 52.
She took her social media account to show gratitude to her supporters – "This is a chance for me to resurface a dream that I thought was long gone," says Miller, who has been competing in pageants for the past eight years – and who has been first runner-up twice for the Miss Oklahoma USA crown.

"I didn't even place but I enjoyed it so much," she says. "I come from a competitive background – I was an athlete for the majority of my life – so this was just another avenue for me to push myself and my limits."
Miller, who is chasing her childhood dream to be a beauty queen, is resolute and confident enough to fill the shoes of reigning Miss USA, Olivia Jordan. Olivia Jordan will pass her crown to her successor as Miss USA 2016 at the end of the finale slated to take place on June 5’ at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
