At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Russia 2019 held last night at Barvikha Luxury Village in Moscow, Alina Sanko, a 20-year-old student from Azov, Rostov Oblast, was crowned Miss Russia 2019 and will now get to represent Russia in Miss Universe 2019 and Miss World 2019 international beauty pageants. Alina is fond of drawing, painting, and poetry and loves to travel. A native of Azov, she is currently studying for the third year of architecture, besides working as a part-time model.

Last year winner, Miss Russia 2018 Yulia Polyachikhina crowned Alina as her successor at the conclusion of the grand event which boasted of splendid presentation and stupendous performances. It was a night of fashion and glamour as fifty gorgeous beauties who competed for the title presented themselves on stage in swimwear and long gowns. Besides the title and privilege to represent Russia internationally, Alina also walked away with the grand prize of three million Russian Rubles.

The first vice-miss was Arina Verina from Yekaterinburg and the second vice-miss was Ralina Arabova from Tatarstan, and both the runners-up received grants to study in any university in the world. Vlada Potapova from Yakutia won the audience vote, while Elena Panovikova from Tobolsk won the Popular Choice award. Besides Alina, Arina and Ralina, other finalists who made to Top 10 were Yulia Tikhonova, Viktoria Guseva, Polina Kachanova, Darya Melnikova, Elena Razinkova, Elizaveta Smolina and Ekaterina Kalyazina. It, though, was a bit surprising to note that none of the girls who were on the top of the leader board on audience votes made it to Top 10.
