After the appointment of Myriam Arévalos (former Miss Earth Paraguay 2015), as Miss Universe Paraguay 2015; Andrea Melgarejo has now been crowned as the new Miss Earth Paraguay 2015. The announcement has been made by the organization of Promociones Gloria Paraguay on Tuesday, November 4.
Andrea will be representing Paraguay at the Miss Earth 2015 pageant to be held on 5 December 2015 at Marx Halle, Vienna, Austria, where reigning Jamie Herrell of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event.
21 years old Andrea hails from Asunción, and stands tall at an astounding height of 5’9”. She is a fourth year student of Medicine and is fluent in multiple languages like, Spanish, Guarani and English.
Miss Earth is an annual international beauty pageant which promotes environmental awareness. Along with its rivals Miss Universe and Miss World, Miss Earth is one of the largest beauty pageants in the world. Also, it is one of the most publicized beauty contests in the world.

The reigning title holders dedicate their year to endorse specific projects and often address issues concerning the environment and other global issues. Conventionally, Miss Earth lives in Manila during her reign.
The fifteenth edition of the Miss Earth 2015 will officially kick start from November 17 and it will go on till the finale happens in Vienna, Austria.
