Laura Garceta Riveros, who was crowned Miss Universe Paraguay 2015 on September 21’ 2015, has now been dethroned. The news of Laura’s dethronement spread like fire, as the reason for her dethronement is being said to be her pregnancy.
Laura was dethroned by Promociones Gloria, the owner of the license for Miss Universe for Paraguay and Reina Hispanoamericana. As per rumours and sources, the reason for her dethronement is being said to be her pregnancy. Laura also lost her title of Virreina Reina Hispanoamericana 2015. She was supposed to represent Paraguay at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant.

As Laura has been dismissed from the title, the title of Miss Universe Paraguay 2015 has now been passed on to Myriam Arévalos. Myriam will now represent Paraguay at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. She was crowned Miss Earth Paraguay 2015 at the pageant finals, and was to represent Paraguay at Miss Earth 2015. However, since Myriam has been crowned as the new Miss Universe Paraguay 2015, Lourdes Andrea Melgarejo will now be competing at the Miss Earth pageant, in place of Miriam.
