Among all the countries who are coming up with their country’s National Costume, Thailand is one country that has captivated our instant attention. You must be familiar with the iconic tuk-tuk, a common mode of transport in Bangkok. It’s a 3-wheeler auto rickshaw. Well the classic ‘Tuk Tuk’ is all set to take a centre stage in the upcoming Miss Universe 2015 pageant. Aniporn Chalermburanawong Miss Universe Thailand 2015, will don the ‘Tuk Tuk’ costume as her National Costume at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant.

The costume has a metallic feel and look to it ornamented with the Thai flag. Thailand has always managed to grab attention and has been a topic of discussion, with its national costume at the Miss Universe pageant. From including the northern minorities, to portraying the art of Muay Thai and modifying costumes from various dynasties, Thailand has done it all. A country, that has impressed the world with its creative instinct and talented concepts, deserves to be second in the most number of Best in National Costume awards at Miss Universe. The country has won the awards in 1969, 1988, 2005, 2008 and 2010.

It seems like eccentric is the current trend when it comes to national costumes. Miss Universe Australia 2015, Monika Radulovic has another peculiar national costume to offer. Monika went for a Dame Edna Inspired National Costume for the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. So it seems like unique is mainstream when it comes to National Costume. What do you think? Do you think Aniporn’s National Costume will bag the sixth Best National Costume Award for Thailand at Miss Universe?
