Aria Perez Theisen crowned Miss World Guam 2015

 

At the conclusion of Miss World Guam 2015, Aria Perez Theisen was crowned as the winner. Aria will now represent Guam at the Miss World 2015 pageant. Aria succeeds the outgoing queen Chanel Victoria Cruz Jarrett. Chanel represented Guam at the Miss World 2014 pageant but was unplaced.

19 years old Aria hails from Barrigada and the beauty queen managed to bag a whole lot of Special Awards in her pocket, including Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Top Model, Beauty with a Purpose and People’s Choice. At the same event, Athena Eva McNinch was titled as the first runner-up, Ealani Lobaton was adjudged as the second runner-up and Kealexey Pereda was adjudged third runner-up.

Aria battled out 9 other contestants to clinch the title. Guam made its debut at the Miss World pageant in the year 1971 under the representation of Deborah Bordallo Nelson. In the Miss World 1971, Guam made it as far as attaining the position of fourth runner-up. And in the year 1980, Kimberly Santos from Guam managed to win the Miss World crown, after the official winner of Miss World 1980, Gabriella Brum resigned the title.
