The finale of Beauty of Russia 2022 (Krasa Rossii) was held on Wednesday, 26th October 2022 at the Zimny Teatr (Winter Theater) in Sochi where Daria Lukonkina was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by Beauty of Russia 2021 Ekaterina Velmakina.
Daria Lukonkina is 19 years of age and a model and student from Nizhny Novgorod. While Beauty of Russia 2021 Ekaterina Velmakina will represent Russia at Miss Earth 2022, the newly crowned Daria Lukonkina will represent Russia at Miss Earth 2023.
On winning the Beauty of Russia 2022 and subsequently the opportunity to represent Russia at next edition of Miss Earth, Daria exclaimed, “I am overwhelmed with emotions, I am very glad that after all this title has become mine, that I will carry it with dignity and pride all my life.”
Top 6 finalists also included Zlata Sokolova, Daria Turysheva, Christina Kim, Alena Klyosova and Milena Vatsik. Pilna Baranchevskaya was adjudged as Miss Talent, Regina Mezentseva won the director’s choice award while Elizabeth Boyarnikova won the Young Beauty award.
Beauty of Russia is one of the oldest beauty pageants in Russia. This year, fifty one contestants took part in the finale which was attended by Russian blogger Gusein Gasanov as chairman of the jury and actress Evgeniya Lapova as special guest.
