Binibining Pilipinas 2020 postponed indefinitely

25 May 2020 | Priya Bhardwaj

In an another announcement by Binibining Pilipinas Organization just hours ago, The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) has postponed indefinitely the Binibining Pilipinas 2020 beauty pageant due to COVID-19. The unfortunate news has come in after almost all the pageants are being postponed due to rampant spread of coronavirus all over the world.

Established in 1964, the Bb.Pilipinas pageant sends delegates to international pageants such as Miss International, Miss Grand International, Miss Supranational, Miss Intercontinental, and Miss Globe. Previously, the BPCI also sent representatives to the Miss Universe beauty contest (1964-2019) and Miss World (1992-2010).

Here is the whole announcement by Binibining Pilipinas Organization –

Forty stunning beauties are supposed to compete in the 2020 edition. Before, the competition was initially postponed to 31st May 2020 but it seems like the situation is still not ideal to host a competition. Binibining Pilipinas 2020 will be the 57th edition of the annual Binibining Pilipinas where Binibining Pilipinas International 2019 Bea Patricia Magtanong will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2019 Resham Ramirez Saeed, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2019 Maria Andrea Abesamis (assumed the position of Samantha Ashley Lo), Binibining Intercontinental 2019 Emma Tiglao, and Miss Globe 2019 2nd Runner-up Leren Bautista will also crown their respective successors.
