Rebel Salazar Burgos, currently holding the title of Miss San Francisco De Macoris 2020, is surely a strong contender for Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2020. The 22-year-old is a self-made woman and is very proud of all the hard work and determination she has shown to achieve all that she has today.

Born in Colombia, Rebel’s mother is Dominicana while her father is Colombian. Five years before, Rebel returned to Dominican Republic as she studied Fashion Designing in the University Altos de Chavon. Rebel is also fluent in three languages which include Spanish, English and Portuguese.

If Rebel wins the national crown, she would like to work to help the children who suffer from sexual abuse and let them know that they are not alone in this fight. She sure seems confident and determined to win the crown and be a strong contender at Miss Universe.

Here’s how Rebel describes herself and her journey, “My name is rebel Burgos, I have 22 years, my goal is very clear, although many watch me every day. Trust me it is not easy. Well be where I am, because I was not born overnight being what I am. I am not from a family of ancestry, I got up and fought to be here, as I also decided to be happy: I have tried very hard and do not know how much and I am happy about that. And here I am writing this little paragraph of what once was and what I am today.”

Miss Dominican Republic 2020 will host its national edition soon where the delegates from all over the country will compete for national crown and the opportunity to represent Dominican Republic in Miss Universe2020. Clauvid Dály Cabrera Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2019 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
