Binibining Pilipinas 2020, the 57th edition of Binibining Pilipinas, will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines. The pageant will award four titles to Philippine representatives to four major international beauty pageants which are Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2020, Binibining Pilipinas International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2020 and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2020.

While the forty delegates competing for the crown have begun to prepare for their national stint, this year’s batch boasts of stunning beauties with a lot of experience. The organization has postponed indefinitely the Binibining Pilipinas 2020 beauty pageant due to COVID-19. The unfortunate news has come in after almost all the pageants are being postponed due to rampant spread of coronavirus all over the world.

Recently, the news of the pageant undergoing a major revamp surfaced the beauty pageant world after the pictures of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves surfaced the internet.

The queens took their social media account to share the pictures with similar captions; “Forever a Miss Philippines...forever a Binibini. Pageantry redefined."  The two tagged the official account of Binibining Pilipinas hinting their involvement in speculated changes in the 55-year old pageant. The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) led by Stella Marquez- Araneta is still yet to comment on the same but the pageant fanatics believe that the two divas who have not only represented the Philippines successful during their reign but also are trying to keep working with their advocacies and in the Philippines which eventually makes them one of the most loved representatives.

The organization prior to postponing the pageant had indicated that the fans can look forward to "a bigger and better edition of the most prestigious beauty pageant in the country.” The ‘new era’ was set to happen after the departure of the Miss Universe license after decades with the group.

The local franchise of Miss Universe is now with a different group headed by Miss Universe-Philippines 2011 Shamcey Supsup, which is set to hold its pageant in October 2020.
