Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2018 (Miss Globe Philippines 2018) Michele Gumabao has proved that she is brutally honest, and of a goal oriented mind. The beauty queen has no hesitations in owning up to the real reason why she wanted to win Binibining Pilipinas 2018. The sportswoman has added many accolades to her title, and was craving for just o0ne more, as the opportunity to become a Binibini caught her eye.

According to Michelle, winning Bb Pilipinas 2018 wasn’t a question of just influencing people, and doing good for the society, because we are sure she would have done it even without the title. It was more about fulfilling the childhood dream of playing as many positive roles in the society as possible.

“I just wanted that extra title on my name! Michele Gumabao – host, celebrity volleyball player, businesswoman. I wanted a beauty queen right in there,” she told a section of the media.

“It may sound vain, but I’ve always wanted to be so many things,” she continued. “Growing up, I never knew what I wanted to be. I just knew that I wanted to be a teacher because I wanted to influence others, I wanted to create an impact. Later on, I realized that I can do that in so many different ways.”

For Gumabao, her Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2018 title is a stepping stone in her journey to self-improvement.

“Titles don’t mean anything to me, just like championships don’t mean anything to me. I train every single day not thinking I was a champion last year. I train every single day to be better and I joined Bb. Pilipinas to be a better version of myself – and I did that so it doesn’t matter what crown or what sash I wear,” she said.

But this does not mean that Gumabao will not use her crown to help others. “I’ve always believed in the power of sports and now that I’m a Binibini, that’s what I’m really focusing on: the power of sports and how it can influence the youth.”

“So I want sustainable programs, especially in the rural areas. We really need to discover and develop the talent there. I want to use my influence to bring in support and acknowledge all these sports that are competitive also.”

Now that’s some honesty her fans will surely appreciate.
