Peru’s Camila Escribens unable to compete at Miss Supranational 2021 due to health reasons

A few weeks back Gerhard Parzutka von Lipinski, President of the Miss Supranational Organization, announced that the city of Nowy Sacz in the Malopolska region will host the final of the 12th Miss Supranational Competition i.e. Miss Supranational 2021. The Miss Supranational 2021 contestants will explore the region during the first three weeks of August as they prepare to compete for the final show where Anntonia Porsild from Thailand will crown Miss Supranational 2021.

Miss Peru Organization had recently appointed Camila Escribens as the Miss Supranational Peru 2020 but the organization announced her withdrawal from Miss Supranational 2021 a few hours ago. The lovely Camila is not able to compete at the competition due to her health problems and advice from her doctors, since she suffers from a brain disease that prevents her from competing due to inability to travel.

The organization shared a video of Camila talking about her disease on their social media where she talked about her disease, brain AVM i.e. a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain. The arteries are responsible for taking oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the brain. Veins carry the oxygen-depleted blood back to the lungs and heart. A brain AVM disrupts this vital process.

“Every day I’m going to try to work hard to recover for you and for me,” she added. She also took to her social media as she shared, “I will return with more strength to compete with all my heart, I want to return ready to wear the name of my country on my chest with pride.”

The pageant fanatics have rushed in to send their warmest wishes for Camila’s recovery, for her health comes first. We fully sympathize with the Peruvian queen, wishing her soon to improve. With respect for her decision, we hope that she returns when she totally healthy and strong to fight for the crown.
