The annual national pageant of Fiji, Miss World Fiji 2017, is on its road to the finale. The pageant provides an opportunity to young Fijian women to be part of the world’s largest beauty pageant. The pageant is open to auditions and the casting will start from 11th March 2017. The announcement was made on the official Facebook page of Miss World Fiji.

Below is the casting information for Miss World Fiji 2017 –
March 11 - Village 4 Cinemas, Lautoka 12 pm - 2 pm
March 18 - Tappoo Nadi, 12 pm - 2 pm
March 25 - Tappoo City, Suva - 12 pm - 2 pm
April 1 - The Grand Eastern Hotel, Labasa 12 pm - 2 pm
The procedure will start with auditioning and screening applicants, and will be carried by an expert panel of judges. Miss World Fiji organisation has mirrored the efforts of the Miss World organization by creating a platform to assisting in the successful careers of its national finalists.
Former national finalists and title holders have used the Miss World Fiji platform to pursue other interests and have excelled in the process. Koini Vakaloloma, Miss World Fiji 2012 is a news presenter at The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation after giving her successful shift at the Miss World finals.
The reigning Miss World Fiji is Pooja Priyanka. The Australia based Indian beauty was born in Lautoka, Fiji's second largest city, and represented her country at the Miss World 2016 pageant.

Talking to Angelopedia about her beautiful country, she said, “So many beautiful attributes to my small nation in the great Pacific. I would share the passion, the pride, the resilience and absolute humility in my people. This year Fiji has faced a great tragedy as well as a great reason to celebrate. Earlier in the year we had TC Winston which was the strongest cyclone to ever hit a nation in the southern hemisphere and claimed the highest death toll and injuries in Fiji’s history. With that there is also a great sense of pride as this year Fiji also won its first ever Olympic gold for Rugby. The forever radiant and strong spirit, Fiji to me is the way the world should be.”
The week long contest of Miss World Fiji will consist of various events, such as the Top Model Fashion Show, while the talent and contestant interviews will be held privately.
