Cecili Weber crowned as Miss Virginia 2017 for Miss America 2018

Miss Arlington Cecili Weber, a Hollins University graduate, has been crowned as Miss Virginia 2017 on Saturday night at the Berglund Performing Arts Center.

She will now represent her state at the Miss America 2018 to be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on September10, 2017. The event will be broadcast by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Miss America 2017 from Arkansas, Savvy Shields will officially crown her successor.
 
Weber, whose hometown is Ironton, Ohio, graduated from Saint Joseph Central High School in 2013. She has done her graduation from Hollins this year with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies. 
 
She received a $20,000 scholarship. Her platform was “Born Leaders” and her talent was a contemporary dance piece to Donna Summer’s “Last Dance.” 
 
Miss Arlington, Cecili Weber also won swimsuit and evening wear on Saturday. She was stunned when her name was announced as the ultimate winner of Miss Virginia 2017.
 
The Miss Virginia Pageant gave away more than $65,000 in cash scholarships this year to women who participated in the competition.
