Portugal’s Cristiana Silva to quarantine in Dominican Republic before heading to USA for Miss Universe 2020

Miss Universe Portugal 2020 Cristiana Silva Alves is all set to begin her journey as she is going to Dominican Republic where she will quarantine for 14 days following the mandatory quarantine protocol. She will then head to USA to represent her country at 69th edition of Miss Universe.

Before her departure, Silva was congratulated by Hon. Mr. Mayor of Paços de Ferreira Dr. Humberto Leão Brito and Hon. Mr. José Luís Monteiro. She thanked them for their never-ending support specially on her upcoming trip.

Miss Portuguesa organization took to their official social media as they wrote, “Miss Universe Portugal Cristiana Silva begins today the journey towards Miss Universe, which takes place on May 16 in Hollywood/Florida. Due to the USA entry bans that many countries are subject to, including Portugal, Miss Cristiana Silva will go to Dominican Republic where she will fulfil the 14 days of quarantine, where safely she will continue the preparation and activities for her participation in the 69 Miss Universe.”

 

 

Cristiana Silva is one of the youngest contenders for the covered crown this year who has a great taste for knowledge for the law, human rights and justice. The stunning beauty conquered her fear for public speaking and won a poetry contest when she was 11. The Portuguese beauty faced her fear of water by taking surfing lessons teaching that nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.

The 69th edition of Miss Universe i.e., Miss Universe 2020 is all set to be held on 16th May 2021 in Hollywood, Florida. Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa will be crowning her successor at the end of the event finale.
