Cristiana Viana gets real pleasure for working towards a social cause for cleft-lip children. The Miss World contestant broke down after meeting a group of children at Madurai Mission Hospital during her India trip.

Cristina was invited to India for promotion of the Incredible India project and to highlight the historical, cultural as well as tourism relations between India and Portugal. She is happy to find that Madurai Mission Hospital is helping the children. The beauty queen, Cristina, says that beauty is skin deep and that when one finds a purpose the beauty of one’s personality is reflected in it.

Meenakshi Mission Hospital, in collaboration with a USA based NGO, Smile Train, is giving free surgeries to children with a cleft lip. The hospital has provided corrective surgeries to more than ten thousand children since its establishment in 2003, most of which were done in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The beauty queen is contesting in the upcoming Miss World 2016 pageant, and is awaiting the finals in Washington D.C., this December, with full confidence for winning the pageant. She says that she has been working hard to make her mark at the grand contest.

The beauty queen has been working for the homeless for the past few years, back in her country. She finds satisfaction and inner peace by working for cause-driven work and feels happy to be associated with the cause of cleft-lip children.
