It has been recently revealed that the gorgeous beauty Farhia Ali who is a Business account manager will compete in this year’s edition, where she will be one of 40 contestants with the chance to represent the nation at Miss Universe 2019 and she is the first contestant to wear a headscarf at the finale.

Farhia, who moved to the UK from Somalia as a child, spends much of her spare time doing voluntary and community work both at home and in Kenya. As per her, the competition is offering her an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of the UK. She feels that that now more than ever it is important for women to feel valued in this world. Being a woman of colour, she has used this desire to encourage her to attain excellence in everything that she does. Moving to Great Britain as a young child provided her with endless opportunities beyond her expectations.

After moving to the UK, she realised how well education, wellbeing and future are prioritised and significance of education has encouraged her to want a better education for young women, young mothers and victims of FGM and forced marriages.

If she secures her win in the finale, she would be able to provide aid in monetary terms to A- Sisterhood, a not-for-profit organisation that support female-related issues in the United Kingdom and all around.
