One of the beautiful contestants of Femina Miss India 2017, Sana Dua won hearts of many by her confidence and appeal at the finale night. She was titled as the first runner-up and made her state proud of her accomplishment. She recently met NN Vohra, the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and told him about her willingness to promote tourism in the conflict-hit state.

“I will speak to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti about promoting tourism in the Valley. She'll have a better idea of how to effectively utilize Dua's popularity and influence in shaping public opinion about the Valley. We must change people's perception about Jammu and Kashmir for the growth of the tourism sector,” Vohra said.

The charming lady went to meet the Governor in Srinagar. Admiring her achievement, Vohra said, “It has been 17 years since we won a big title. I wish Sana all the best.” He also mentioned the example of Priyanka Chopra, who has made India proud with her achievements in Hollywood.

Dua also shared her experience at the beauty pageant in a candid discussion with Usha Vohra, the governor's wife. She said, “Out of the 22 districts in the state, only 4-5 districts are terror-torn. I really want to emerge as a catalyst in encouraging tourists to visit the valley. I want to alter the common perception that Jammu and Kashmir is unsafe for moving around. This is a goal set that runs parallel to the Miss United Continents, my next pageant.”

The beauty is now all set to represent India at the Miss United Continents contest in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on 23rd September’17.
