The organization of Femina Miss India organization had announced the 57th edition i.e., Femina Miss India 2020 will be held digitally. The contest is scheduled to be progressed in four phases with the grand finale to be held in 2021. Miss World Asia 2019 Suman Rao, Miss India Grand International 2019 Shivani Jadhav and Miss India United Continents 2019 Shreya Shanker will crown their successors.
We’ve selected our early favourites from the group who we think have the potential to win the title and represent India at international stage. This year’s batch boasts of talented, strong, and confident divas who will be a tough competitor for each other. Let’s look at the favourites of Femina Miss India 2020:
Miss India Chhattisgarh 2020 Angela Kumar
Angela is 19-years-old and is representing the state of Chhattisgarh at Femina Miss India 2020. She is pursuing her bachelor’s in business administration and works as a model. Passionate about fitness, dancing, exploring the nature, and cooking; Angela describes herself as a person who always strives to perform better every day. The diva aspires to use the platform to raise a voice for animals and the environment and feels that with right determination and conviction, she can win the title.
Miss India Karnataka 2020 Rati Hulji
Rati is representing the state of Karnataka at Femina Miss India 2020 and aspires to become a top fashion model. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media and is currently pursuing a career in the fashion industry. She vehemently credits her mother for seeing her through times of trials and lows and has learned to use the knowledge and insights into honing her skills and bursting her way to the top. Rati holds a special interest in dance and has been learning Bharatanatyam since last 7 years and is determined and focused towards her goal.
Miss India Jharkhand 2020 Rupali Bhushan
Rupali is 20-years-old and is representing the state of Jharkhand at Femina Miss India 2020 and wants to make her people proud and give back to people of her most favourite place by representing it on the national stage. She is pursuing bachelor’s in Philosophy as she describes herself as a curious human. She explained that when Manushi Chhillar won Miss World 2017, she realized that she wants to represent her home country on an international stage. She wants to use the platform to splurge on things that she could donate to people who are less fortunate and seek blessings from them for spreading happiness and positivity.
Miss India Mizoram 2020 Lalmuansangi Varte
Lalmuansangi is 25-years-old and is representing the state of Mizoram at Femina Miss India 2020 and has completed her Master’s degree in English literature and is currently a trainee teacher and pursing her degree in B.Ed at Mizoram University. She wants to become a teacher, so that she could be an inspiration and hope to those who face the same problem as she once did; learning disability- dyslexia. The diva is inspired by Miss World 1997 Diana Hayden as she feels that she proved that beauty is skin deep.
Miss India Haryana 2020 Manika Sheokand
Manika is 26-years-old and is representing the state of Haryana at Femina Miss India 2020 and has graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering and Master’s in Business Administration and started working at an MNC and now professional model. The diva decided to chase her passion and create a distinct identity for herself. She describes herself as calm, fearless, and confident woman. She wants to use the platform to create awareness and educate people about the gender-based violence and normalize the talks about it. With the unrelenting attitude, she believes she can achieve everything she aspires for.
Miss India Meghalaya 2020 Tanvi Raksam Marak
Tanvi is 21-years-old and is representing the state of Meghalaya at Femina Miss India 2020 and wants to use the platform to create awareness about sex education as she feels that it shouldn’t be considered as a taboo. She describes herself as bubbly, outgoing with a great sense of humour and a helping woman. She comes from a medical background but feels that her happiness lays within the glamour world.
Miss India Tamil Nadu 2020 Raina Garg
Raina is representing the state of Tamil Nadu at Femina Miss India 2020 and is a software engineer and she was invited to attend Google I/O, California as a former Women Tec makers ambassador (Google India). She aspires to empower young women through technology and promote their representation in technical leadership roles. Her life mantra is to “always believe in yourself and never let others dictate what success should look like for you”.
Miss India Maharashtra 2020 Angelika Sawhney
Angelika is 18-years-old and is representing the state of Maharashtra at Femina Miss India 2020 and is pursuing Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Being Miss India has been Angelika’s dream and she states that representing India at international platform would be an honour for her. She believes in following dreams fearlessly and not getting carried away with what others say. Miss World 2002 Priyanka Chopra inspires Angelika the most and the diva hopes that one day she would be rise like Priyanka Chopra. “She has made her presence felt internationally as an Indian woman!”, she added.
