All about Miss Universe Nepal 2020 Anshika Sharma

The first edition of Miss Universe Nepal under the directorship of Nagma Shrestha was held on 30th December 2020 where Anshika Sharma was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2020. She was crowned by the director herself and succeeded Miss Universe Nepal 2019 Pradeepta Adhikari to represent Nepal at Miss Universe 2020.

Anshika impressed everyone with her mesmerizing smile and confident walk at the finale. She was also very fluent and sincere with her answers at the competition which definitely gave her an edge over the seventeen other girls. The 24-year-old stunning woman is a Nepali residing in Sydney, Australia.

 

 

Anshika is an advocate for education and sincerely believes that education can change the world. She believes that children, no matter what background they come from, need to be provided with education to improve their quality of life, economy and thus the future of the country.

With desire to lift others, she looked for the opportunity and got connected with like-minded people to form a group and initiate scholarship programs for underprivileged children in Nepal. Now, for the two years, the program has been able to support few kids from different VDCs of Khalanga, Jumla to go to Kanikanisha HSS, one of the best private school of Khalanga, Jumla.

 

 

Anshika strongly believes that the hope of a nation lies in proper education of its youth as the children will get opportunity to learn and manifest their dreams. Her advocacy is to lead these dreamers and create opportunity for them to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Anshika’s finale answer which won her the crown showed that she came prepared to win. The question was, ‘What is the one life lesson that you have learned after COVID-19 and its effects?’ to which she replied, “The one lesson that I have learnt after COVID-19 is always to be ready for all the challenges that life throws at you because life is uncertain. Also for the government and for the individuals, be economically prepared because COVID-19 has taught us that economy is so important that we need to always be aware and always secure our finances to be moving forward in life.”

 

 

Anshika rose to fame when she was adjudged the first runner-up at the conclusion of Miss Nepal Oceania 2020 held on 14th March 2020 in Australia. Currently, she works as a Sales Analyst professionally. With her determination and preparation as Miss Universe Nepal 2020 under Nagma, Nepal will definitely be a strong country at Miss Universe 2020 and might as well pioneer its win at the international platform.
