Htet Htet Htun was crowned as the Miss Universe Myanmar 2016 at the conclusion of the pageant held on October 3’ 2015 in Gandamar Gran Ballroom in the National Capital Yangon. Htet will now represent Myanmar at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. She is not new to the world of pageantry, and was the second runner-up in Miss World Myanmar 2014.
Born on June 20’ 1992, Htet is a second year Civil Engineering student. She aaspirest o become a successful business woman someday, to help; support people, animals society and living things. She speaks fluent English and Chinese. She was crowned in the same event where May Barani Thaw was crowned as the Miss Universe Mynamar 2015. Interestingly, May was crowned by the outgoing queen, Sharr Htut Eaindra, Miss Universe Myanmar 2014. Then, Htet Htet Htun was announced as the Miss Universe 2016, and May crowned her.
In addition to the crown and the title, the winners also won cash prize of 1 crore Kyats. At the same event, Han Lay was adjudged as first runner-up and was also awarded the Best National Costume and Cho Cho Tun was titled as the second runner-up in the pageant. Han Lay received 5 million Kyats as prize money where as Cho Cho Tun received 2.5 million Kyats.
