Miss Earth 2016, the esteemed pageant of Philippines, is on its way to the finale wherein 84 countries and territories are vying for the prestigious title with the theme of  "Empowered to make a Change".

The 16th edition of Miss Earth 2016 is slated to be held on 29 October 2016 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Philippines. At the end of the finale, reigning Miss Earth queen Angelia Ong will pass her crown to her successor.

The pageant has officially kicked off and the pageant hopefuls have been polishing their pageant skills for the gala coronation night.

Imelda Bautista Schweighart, Miss Earth Philippines 2016 has been under duress as Philippines has already bagged 3 Miss Earth crown and the expectations are obviously high from her. The Miss Earth crown was initially bagged by Karla Henry in 2008, Jamie Herrell in 2014, and Angelia Ong in 2015 with a back-to-back win.

This year, Imelda expects that she could seize a historic moment for her country by clinching the prominent crown. Only If her confidence and fate go hand in hand, it will be the first ever and one of a kind moment for the Philippines to win an international pageant three years in a loop.

21 years old Imelda Bautista Schweighart is a  half German and half Filipina Theater Arts student. She hails from Puerto Princesa and is known in showbiz as ‘Imee Hart’. She was one of the co-hosts of Willie Revillame in his defunct TV5 variety show “Wil Time Big Time”. She also starred in a number of TV5 shows.

She believes in the axiom - "If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make that change."

If Miss Earth organisation gives her a chance to promote her country as an earth ambassador, she would love to promote her country’s Eco Tourism spots all over the world.

She aspires to be a contemporary dancer and a real martial artist at some point of her life. But for now, she wants to focus on studying music.

Imelda is confident enough to bring the crown for her country. She has also groomed her personality completely different from her previous appearance during her prior national wins. She is a well-trained and a practiced beauty queen who is set to triumph over Miss Earth.
