At a glittering event held at Casino Baden, Julia Furdea (reigning Miss Oberösterreich) was crowned Miss Austria 2014 (Miss Österreich 2014) . She outperformed 17 other girls who were competing for the title. With 90 points to her credit, Julia outperformed her nearest rival by an astounding margin of 41 points. She is just 19 years old and stands at 170cm, with measurements of 76-61-87.
With the victory, she gets the opportunity to represent Austria in Miss World 2014 pageant to be held on December 14' 2014 in London, England. She also walks away with prizes and assignments worth 80,000 Euros, a Mercedes A-Class car and a luxury trip.
Nadine Stroitz was adjudged the First Runner-up and Katharina Nahlik was adjudged the Second Runner-up.
The event was hosted by Alfons Haider and Silvia Schneider. Peter Kraus put on stage a lively dance and singing performance. Among the guests were four former Miss Austria winners.
