As reported earlier, Miss Earth Organisation appointed Corrin Stellakis of USA as the new Miss Earth Fire 2016 as Bruna Zanardo had to relinquish her title to chase her fate at Miss Brazil 2017 pageant. However, it was not clear whether Bruna stepped down from her title, or was dethroned.

Bruna Zanardo was aiming at trying her luck at Miss Brasil 2017 pageant. Bruna was battling for the title of Miss São Paulo 2017. But, the beauty queen lost her bid and was titled as the first runner-up instead. Bruna Zanardo representing Laranjal Paulista was declared 1st Runner Up to the eventual winner Karen Porfiro of Municipio de São Paulo.

The finale of Miss São Paulo 2017 was held on 25th March 2017, and Karen Porfiro is now the official candidate of Miss Brazil 2017. The curly haired beauty was unsure about her hair right before the finale. She had thoughts like what if she won and the crown didn’t fit through. Having few thoughts about her hair, she finally gave in to her natural hair, and decided to take it that way.

Well, there is still a twist which might come up at Miss São Paulo 2017. If reports are to be believed, according to the rules of Miss Brasil, if a girl had previously competed at Miss Brazil Universe pageant, she cannot compete again representing another state. And, Karen Porfiro was Miss Minas Gerais in 2014, which clearly indicates breaking the said rule. As per the sources, Bruna Zanardo and her team are already in contact with the organization regarding the same.
