The hazel brown eyed, Costa Rican beauty, Karina Ramos, was born on July 4, 1993 in San Jose. Karina is a Costa Rican beauty pageant title holder who was crowned Miss Universe Costa Rica on May 30, 2014. She developed an interest for the glamour world at a very young age of 9. She started her carrier as a host on a TV program and by the time she was 11, Karina started working as a host for a radio show. Karina is a student of Public Affairs, which explains her remarkable social skills and her skill to make people fall in love with her country.

After gaining experiences in Television and Radio industries, Karina started her journey to explore the world of modeling. She started modeling professionally and made it to the best runways and editorials in the country. Karina started her career in beauty pageants in 2012. Standing tall at a height of 5’8 and a mischievous smile to go with, Karina pulls up an attitude full of poise and panache.

Back at home, Karina Ramos runs her own modeling academy, where she talks about her own experiences and teaches young girls, who shares the same dreams. She likes socializing with people and prefers being called Kary instead of Karina. Karina believes, her best trait is her trustworthy nature. She is a very gracious person and likes to crack jokes, when meeting someone for the first time. Karina Ramos is a dreamer, and has dreamt of becoming a singer, many times. Although, she prefers to sing alone in her room, as she is not very good at it.

Speaking about Costa Rica, Ramos says..

“Costa Rica is the only Latin American country without an army since 1949. Our government focuses on investing in education instead of weapons, making Costa Rica one of the safest places in the world to live a normal lifestyle.”
