Keity Drennan was appointed as Señorita Panamá 2016. On April 27’ 2016, a small ceremony was organized by the Miss Universe Panama Organization to crown its new winner. Keity Drennan succeeds Miss Universe Panama 2015, Gladys Del Carmen Brandao Amaya and will now represent Panama in the upcoming edition of Miss Universe 2016.

A few weeks ago, Justine Pasek, Miss Universe 2002 and Cesar Anel Rodríguez acquired the rights of Señorita Panamá, thereby attaining the right to send representatives to international pageants like Miss Universe, Miss Earth and Reina Hispanoamericana.

At the end of the small official ceremony, which took place at Trump Ocean Club International Hotel, Keity was directly selected to represent Panama at Miss Universe 2016 pageant by the eminent panel of juries, which included – a total number of eight eminent personalities.

The newly appointed Miss Universe Panama, Keity Drennan Mendieta Britton, who hails from Panamá Centro, is not new to the pageantry world, she was also crowned as Miss International Panamá (Virreina Panamá) and represented Panama at Miss International 2011 where she was ultimately crowned as fourth runner up.

She is an ace model and is famous for her excellent modeling skills, not just in Panama, but worldwide. The beauty queen started her modeling career when she won the “Chica Chico Modelo” contest in the year 2008. The pageant gave her a golden chance to work for modeling giant, ‘Physical Modelos’, which is currently her official modeling agency and represented Panamá in the Ford Model’s Supermodel of the World 2008.

In the same year, Keity represented Panama in the Miss Teen America and the Caribbean, clinching three awards: Miss Teen Photogenic, Miss Teen Model and Third Princess position.

Since Panama’s inception at Miss Universe, the country has placed eight times and has won the Best National Costume Award four times. However, the current National Director, Justine Pasek is the only woman from Panama to wear the Miss Universe crown.

Keity Drennan is all set to fill in the shoes of reigning Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, and ready to reinstate the glory of Panama on the map of Miss Universe. What do you think?
